TWO TONE DRESSER: BEFORE & AFTER

Need a little inspiration today?  How about this beauty? I actually have this exact same dresser which I completely refinished and use in my dinning room. Mine was in really bad shape and needed major some TLC.  I chose to keep the headboard thingy, but that is the greatness of a DIY project like this.

When I saw this I couldn't resist sharing.  I just adore the dark stain with the mint paint, they compliment each other very nicely! A job well done at Refresh Restyle.

SUSTAINABLE ENTHUSIASM JUST FOR YOU!

How do you maintain sustainable enthusiasm for starting and completing your projects?  For me it's most definitely perusing the internet and reading blogs. My curiosity and desire to learn is fulfilled just by going online.  I get to visit people from all over the world without leaving my house.  It's quite magical if you think about it.

Reading and finding new blogs sustains my enthusiasm to be creative and handy. They are a constant source for getting inspired and educating myself.

Here are some posts that I hope will help you sustain your enthusiasm to make and recreate!

This post will make you want to make your own shelf's:

SPRAY PAINT: OH HOW I LOVE THEE

That's right, I love spray paint.  It's more like a love affair, we were meant to be I just know it!  We met last year and we've been together ever since, making colorful harmony.

No, really... I have found that this wonderful product can transform anything. I kinda went spray paint crazy there for a while.  I have painted lamps, frames, stools, wall decorations, and the list goes on.  I even spray painted my water cooler, it matches my dining room now.  I tell ya, the possibilities are endless.

Before I started though, I did educate myself.  There's quite a few options out there and it can be confusing - what's the best products, what can I spray paint (just about everything!)?  So I owe my obsession the very talented Centsational Girl, her tips are top notch.

So, I'm happy to share the most awesome spray paint tips, please shoot on over to:

TIPS FOR CAULKING & PAINTING TRIM

Image Credit: In the Fun Lane

I have a confession.  The trim in my house is still unfinished and we've been it for just about 2 years. Okay, I feel much better now.  So why isn't it done yet? Because caulking and painting trim is not fun.  I have done about 15% of the trim in my dinning room and that's it.

It's a good thing trim is already white, but it becomes out-of-sight, out-of-mind even though I know it still needs to be done.  My trim really would look better if I would just do it!  So I found some really great tips, my inability to get motivated has just been recharged.

It's so great to find new ideas get you going, and stop the procrastination.

Hello my friends!

Check out these beauuutifuull bottles!  And they could be yours with some paint and old bottles. I have actually made some of these, they are a really simple and easy way to add a punch of color and design to any room.

It does take a little playing around with your paint, and patience while you wait for them to dry, but they turn out really pretty.
