DIY THANKSGIVING IDEAS: GOBBLE GOBBLE
We are having just a small shin-dig at my home. Nothing fancy or real decorative this year, it just came up way too fast. That's okay though, having family and all the delicious smells drifting throughout my home are all that matter!
If you are hosting Thanksgiving, I have gathered up some ideas to help you make your own holiday feast a special one.
Learn how to make these adorable Pilgrim Place Cards. If you have school age kiddo's this would be a great project for them.

I've never known the proper way to set a table nor a buffet table. Now I do and so will you!
And last but not least is always desert right? I have yet to make a homemade pumpkin pie. How hard can it be? I guess it depends on what you consider homemade. Although I like to cook, I'm not much of a baker.
- Hmm, do I buy a crust or make from scratch?
- Do I use canned filling or a real pumpkin?
- Or do I go to Costco and cheat?
May you all have a very blessed day filled with love, laughter, good food and friends. Be thankful for those who are around you on this special day, reflect on what means the most to you. We only have this day once a year don't waste it. Then it's on to the hustle and bustle of Christmas.

HODGEPODGE WEDNESDAY NO. 3
Can you believe a week from tomorrow will be Thanksgiving? I swear it seems like last week we were just trick-or-treating. November has flown by and I can only assume December will too. My daughter has already written her letter to Santa, mind you it consists mainly of vowels - she's 4 and can't actually write a letter yet.
I think you need a little break from all the preparations you are undertaking in anticipation for Turkey Day.

SUSTAINABLE ENTHUSIASM JUST FOR YOU!
How do you maintain sustainable enthusiasm for starting and completing your projects? For me it's most definitely perusing the internet and reading blogs. My curiosity and desire to learn is fulfilled just by going online. I get to visit people from all over the world without leaving my house. It's quite magical if you think about it.
Reading and finding new blogs sustains my enthusiasm to be creative and handy. They are a constant source for getting inspired and educating myself.
Here are some posts that I hope will help you sustain your enthusiasm to make and recreate!
This post will make you want to make your own shelf's:

Just imagine if we didn't need sleep how much we could accomplish. Have you ever wanted to turn your hobby into a business? I know there are many of you out there that are extremely talented and could actually monetize from whatever your passion is. Or maybe you have tried and failed, or maybe you are struggling with how and where to start.
INSPIRATION FOUND: HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE

But what about just using your plain old imagination? Well, we still do, but here's the deal: while you may find ideas and learn new techniques from others, what you create as a result from that is all that matters, because it's yours and you in turn will inspire someone else!
I would like you to meet Monica over at Taylor Made Cards 4 U. She excels at card making, I'm so jealous. She share's her thoughts on inspiration and on how she creates her cards.

I like how she refer's to it as a "puzzle". I love puzzles, and I think she hit a point. Maybe we should approach all our projects like a puzzle, sometimes the pieces all come together easily and sometimes you really gotta work at it, and that's okay.

This is such a simple project and the results are cork-fabulousness. Everyone will be asking you where you bought your tray and you can kindly smile and brag that you made it. You wouldn't have to store this tray, it's too cute, it would make a great piece for your coffee table.

OLD FRAME & PEGBOARD JEWELRY HOLDER

Is this cool or what? I love this idea, so simple you gotta say "Why didn't I think of that". You can customize however you want: frame style, size, color of pegboard. I like this frame, it's got a vintage look to it. Heck, you could even do a smaller one use it to hang your keys!
